Wow, another week. Goal for the coming week is to write down notes on my weekly sheet before leaving the office each day so that I will have something to write about here. I didn’t do so well with that this week, so this is very short. I do know that we were always busy and that lots got done in preparation for our transfers (tomorrow), departures (Tuesday) and arrivals (Wednesday).
Tanner’s birthday is Wednesday; that makes me think back that it was just two years ago that I got to visit the Manvilles, the Kirbys, and the Oliphants and their brand new babies! Feels a lot longer that that to me...
So here’s my thought for the week: We have been surrounded by cold and gloomy fog for a full week now I think, which often leaves me unsure of where we are and where to turn. During one of those moments, I found myself thinking about Lehi’s dream and the “exceeding great mist of darkness, insomuch that they who had commenced in the path did lose their way, that they wandered off and were lost.” I thought of the exceeding great mist of darkness that often covers our lives and our land today and the multitude of possibilities for wandering off the path that will bring us home. My prayer is that each of our family will truly cling to the iron rod and that we will all reach that celestial home together, never to be parted again. Love you all beyond the ability of words to communicate...Have a Wonderful Week!
