Thought for this week: "May we show increased kindness toward one another, and may we ever be found doing the work of the Lord." ....Thomas S. Monson, "Till We Meet Again"

Well, that's a few - and I even left out a more distant one.
Mission Notes: Busy Week, lots done - training of new couples is going well. President Young asked if we (the mission) could rent our apartment (the one we will be leaving) for the mission and we said we would check on it and did. Then the other two senior elders and one wife, the one who is taking my position in the office, came out to look at the apartment. I was concerned about having missionaries take it because a bridge & freeway cut through the route to the ward building and not all of our missionaries have cars, so I wanted them to be sure that this apartment would be a good mission apartment. I said it was great for seniors, but wasn't sure about the other.
Anyway, they came and looked and the office couple decided they wanted it. I think they are really looking forward to it... even though the day before, she looked at her husband and said she definitely was NOT interested in moving as they were talking about coming out:) It really does make a wonderful apartment for seniors.
Family Notes: OK, here is my test...what can I really remember from the week past :).
First of all let me share with you our current "PLAN" - which may help people know more of what we are doing. Yesterday we went down to Roseburg, rented a storage unit and started taking some things over there. We got more done than I had expected so that was good:) We will not go down next Saturday, but after than will be going down Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for the next 2 weeks - hopefully completing the moving parts by then. The following week is Transfers, Departures, and Arrivals and we are planning on staying with the office crew that entire week to help everyone get through it. We'll hopefully have the weekend free and then finish up moving out and cleaning our apartment on Monday and Tuesday. Sounds like a plan - right? Help us out with your prayers:)!
I know we talked with Christi this week - maybe a couple of times, but am having a hard time remembering much. They are working on making a place for our motor home to stay:) - so that will be nice, and - most importantly - John is soon be ordained an elder...I think this next weekend if I have the dates straight. My head is not working very good:(. Sara called to ask Dad about her car not shifting properly - only it seemed to start working right later, altho we haven't talked with her at all today. I've been trying to get the family genealogy that we have available organized in a way to get the work done... thought I could do it tonight, but finally gave up and will try again tomorrow.
If you haven't seen the video Mary posted on the Oliphant Family Facebook page, you should go watch it NOW. It is her application video for the Ninja Warrior thing...and it looks pretty good:). Not sure if I wish her good luck with that tho...
And - speaking of the Oliphant Family Facebook page - PLEASE let me know if you have seen it!
Love to all - have a great week!
