Sunday Evening Post...

Thought I would try to do just a quick little blog... we made it to Roseburg (left Friday morning) Saturday afternoon.  I was not feeling very well Friday night - extremely sore throat and drippy head - but as the miles went by on Saturday I seemed to get somewhat better.  Stuck to soup for food - some was good for me, some less good:).  We were able to stop in Eugene and visit for a short while with the couple living in our old apartment there; she is the one keeping my plants for me until we go back through in January.

Got up this morning - stayed at the Garden Villa motel last night because they wouldn't cancel that reservation when I called and then moved over to the Windmill this afternoon - because it is less money.  We've decided we like it here much better all the way around:)!  Went to church and was doing OK until Sharon Read popped up very close to us...then the tears started.  So very hard to be leaving so many that I love so very  much.  Everything at church was wonderful and the Reads invited us to come over for dinner - which we appreciated immensely as we had not gotten any TV dinners to put in the fridge because of changing motels today.  But belatedly I realized we could have done that because we could have put them in the church refrigerator:).  Anyway, we enjoyed our meal with the Reads and their daughter, Tracy, and granddaughters.

Before going there for dinner we went to the house to kind of check out things, make a plan for tomorrow and bring the pickup truck back to the motel so we would both have a vehicle.  We were more than shocked to find the basement, garage and front porch of the basement filled with our neighbor's stuff that "didn't fit upstairs."  All of a sudden our 2 days allotted for packing looked like it could take a week or more... but we have called on missionary help to come early in the morning to help move things up to the garage so that we can get to our things and have space to pack boxes.  I have a doctor's appointment, so hopefully by the time I get there I will be able to start packing things.  Hope so:)!

That's about it for my short note - not much, but at least it is an update.  In case you do not know, Sara is leaving on Tuesday for North Carolina for Family Day and Graduation from Basic for Patrick.  So excited to be able to see her husband for the first time in 2+ months:)!  Still don't know the exact date of his return to Utah and won't until he actually starts AIT, but some time mid December...so will let you all know then.

I'm off to bed - Love to all:)
