I am at Emily and Adam's, getting ready to head back home tomorrow. Flew down on Friday (because I was able to get an amazingly inexpensive flight) so I could be here for Em's baby shower on Saturday - which was a lot of fun. Tons of good food, a table FULL of orange sweets - cookies, cupcakes, candies of all kinds..., lots of friends and lots of baby things to get Emily started on preparing for the upcoming little Manville. Yes - started. They have not done a whole lot of preparing so far:)! Hopefully Elijah will hold off for a couple more weeks so they can make up some time! Emily looks great; their new home is quite impressive, even with lots of little construction things still being worked on, and they seem to be under pretty good control of things. Amazing.
Have learned by phone, e-mails and other means that Jim and Jeanie are in Texas - house hunting, so say a prayer for the Spirit to guide them; Ammon and Rachel sold their steers (cows?) at the fair for a handsome profit and Ammon's livestock judging team took first place for the Juniors; Michael and John made it back from Washington D. C. and the national Scout jamboree in good shape; Sara is in Kentucky with 4 of her students for a national event...Patrick & the girls having headed a little south of there to visit his mom; Holly is going to teach the 6th grade this coming year; Mary is having tooth problems - and I hope gets fixed tomorrow... and Charlotte and Seth are planning to visit us for a couple of days around the 21st. That is my family news for now. It is late and bedtime was really long ago.
Love you all, miss you all, and keep you all in our prayers constantly!
Mom O.
