From California...

I love all of mom's posts! I need to do better myself...

Our life has been baby, baby, baby lately! Eli has been SUCH a good baby so far. We just moved him into his own room 3 nights ago and he didn't seem to notice a difference. Hopefully we'll get a little more sleep this way. We are REALLY low on sleep (as I'm sure you all know ALL about).
We took him for his first beach outing this past Saturday (we'd walked down to the beach with him before but never stayed). It was a perfect, sunny day. We met friends to play sand volleyball. Eli slept through most of it so I'm not sure it was a memorable experience for him but Adam and I definitely enjoyed it. Hopefully we'll get out more before winters comes!
The next big project is finding a Halloween costume for Eli (suggestions are welcome). He currently has a "skullet"... It's like a mullet (short hair in the front, long hair in the back), but worse (no hair on top, long hair in the back). We're considering making him an old man for Halloween (he already has the hair so he just needs a funny old suite, spectacles, and a pipe-pacifier). The poor baby will getting his first hair cut a little early in life :)
