Notes from Carlsbad

I keep telling myself that I'll update the blog every Monday but Monday's get so busy!!
The 4th of July was a super fun break from work. We played softball on Friday. I've never actually played softball before (weird, right?) so that made for an interesting afternoon. I'm actually not that bad at hitting but I'm abnormally bad at knowing when to run and at catching things :) It was REALLY fun and I'm excited to play again. Saturday morning we did the long bike ride thing (along the coast just North of Oceanside), Saturday afternoon we went down to the beach, and Saturday night was watched fireworks at the Four Season's resort by our house.
Adam has a friend that caught a 200 pound halibut in Alaska last week. He couldn't pay to ship it all home so he offered it to his friends that wanted to pay for their own shipping. We ended up with 25 pounds of Halibut in our freezer! Adam ate more Ceviche over the weekend than can possibly be healthy. Our house is gonig to smell like fish for at least a few more weeks (until there's no more left to cook).
Like mom mentioned, we found out this afternoon that our horse in UT un-expectantly died. It was a sad afternoon! Sara was actually training her for us (not leasing her). It was sad for all parties involved.
I'm excited to see everyone in UT... get ready for some great Scum around the campfire...
