Howdy!
We are really looking forward to seeing many of you soon. My garden has finally started producing - I have zucchini! I think God created zucchini to give all of us "non-green-thumb" gardeners a confidence boost. My lettuce and chard got eaten by an unknown something or other, my beets and carrots have yet to produce anything big enough to eat, and we won't know about the other stuff for awhile, but I can harvest zucchini EVERY DAY! Now I just need 50 different ways to cook the stuff...
Summer has finally arrived and with it have come the ants. My house has been invaded. The tiny monsters have shown up in the bathrooms, the mud room, the kitchen (of course), and even Payton's bedroom. I HATE THEM. If any of you know how to get rid of them please let me know. Last year we tried bug bombs under the house and inside the house but it didn't seem to do much. They live in the walls. I currently use the little bait traps and spray where I see them but I hate using poison in the house. Someone told me to use peppermint oil. They don't seem to like it but I would have to spray the entire house every day. Of course, at least that would smell better than than the bug spray.
We had a lot of fun in Provo for the 4th of July. I'm adding a picture of us at the parade and a picture that shows off Abby's unique sense of style. Hope you enjoy it!
