I think I missed last week... but here goes for this weekL(
Thought for the week:
“Fools live to regret their words, wise men to regret their silence.” - Will Henry Hmmmm.
Question for the week: What was the key to Elder Boyd K. Packer’s gaining a sure testimony of the gospel? (Gold Star rewards to anyone who comes up with the answer; send me an e-mail!)
Birthdays & Such for July: Aunt Mary, Uncle Bill, & Jennifer Boldrey, plus Heather’s son Kanon all celebrate birthdays this month! AND... Isis & Devin are celebrating their 6th anniversary! How time flies....
Wow... last night, while searching for ideas for a Young Women in Excellence program online, I came across a blogspot for the Grossnickle Family. Now, most of you are too young to remember them, but they were the family we put in our will to be your guardians if Dad and I were to die before you were grown up. That was done back when we lived in Canby... and since I haven’t managed Christmas cards since the Christmas that I had the brain surgery, I have lost touch with them (and many others)... so it was absolutely amazing to find their blog and read a little about their family. I don’t remember how many children they had when we left Canby (we had 6) - but I think I read that they have 9. Amazing. Anyway, here is their blogspot link if anyone wants to go see:)...

I really enjoy the blogs from all of you - including Jim’s pictures of his Corvette, and Charlotte’s update to her blog - first time since December? Anyway... they are fun and I like them. I am looking forward to having Holly teach me how to do some things with the Treasure Valley blog when we get together!
Our weather has been absolutely heavenly... it got “hot” for just a couple of days last week and we are back to being in the 80’s and very cool nights. It just doesn’t seem like July at all. It is also hard to believe that we will be in Utah in just a few days.... can I possibly be ready.... I really don’t know!
Dad is out splitting wood; unfortunately there are at least ten other things equally physical that are in need of doing at the moment... but one day at a time:) We are having great “success” with our young single adults... they now have a YSA sunday school class, they meet on Mondays for FHE and on Tuesdays for Institute. Last Saturday they had a service project, this Saturday 20 of them are going to the multi-stake rafting trip (on the Rogue River), and the following Saturday they are planning a water day at Cooper Creek... so very different from what we have been used to. We have worked extra hard to get names, addresses, phones and e-mails and I think that has really paid off... very grateful for it:)!
I just had a call from Emily...very sad because her horse died today - not Imp, but one she had bought and was leasing to Sara. She will probably let us all know more when she blogs again - or when we meet in Utah. Anyway, say an extra prayer for her please...
I think I haven’t much more to say; life is very busy and I hope to be ready to leave on time:) Love you all and miss you all and I am looking forward to seeing all who are able to come to Utah for the reunion:)
