Hello to all:)
We are headed home after spending the weekend with Charlotte and Seth... Dad seems to like Washington a lot, especially being close to the ocean:)! Maybe we will have to consider a new possibility for our future living arrangements....hmmmmmm.
We had lots of fun with Charlotte & Seth - enjoyed a bountiful breakfast on Saturday morning, followed by a visit to the Bremerton naval shipyard where Seth works... at least where we were allowed:) I think we followed our tour with naps (? - not 100% sure) and then we went to see the house that they are buying. It is in a beautiful location - the pictures do not begin to do it justice; they are getting it at a really good price due to the foreclosure so have a lot of upward potential once they get it all fixed up. Unfortunately, the owners(?) must have been been very disgruntled with the foreclosure and had done about all they could do to make it less appealing to any potential buyer. Charlotte and Seth are undaunted by the projects ahead and looking forward to the challenge:)! They have a beautiful koi pond in the back yard; when they get it all operating again (fountain and all) I think it is worth a trip back up just to see it in operation:)!
Already typed this once, but without my mouse and bouncing in the car, the computer keeps jumping me all over the place and erasing my words:( We are at a rest area for a moment so I will see if that helps me get this done:)
We enjoyed going to church together on Sunday, especially getting to visit their class in primary. Seth took the lead in the lesson for their class and Charlotte was in charge of Sharing Time in Primary - with about a 24 hour notice I think. They both did beautifully, even with some challenging class members! Afterwards we ate - and napped again:)! Dad says he is really rested - and he should be... we certainly didn’t get up before 9 a.m. (or later) every day we were here.
Many thanks to Charlotte for helping me figure out how to put my sunrise picture on the Treasure Valley blog - which made me very happy. We also managed to get the reunion pictures on the Reunion blog, although I am a little sad that the slide show didn’t come out exactly as we had it on my computer. It is so wonderful - I love it. Maybe I will learn how to make it work better next time:) Unfortunately our efforts erased the background, but I think Holly will help me fix that problem - even if she has to wait until she is a little more settled in with school:)
We played Canasta - probably the first time in at least 40 years or more:) True to form, Dad ended up the winner - coming from last place at the beginning of our second day of it:) That was last night (or rather this morning...don’t remember exactly what time we called it quits; Dad had said we were playing to 5000 points or 3:30 a.m., whichever came first! So... we got up late again this morning and just hung out together (more work on the blog) until finally deciding we needed to get on the road - where we are now.
Hoping to visit with Emily and Adam in California on our next venture.... probably in March, so it is a ways off.... but we are looking forward to it:) There is the possibility we will need to travel to Utah for business stuff before then, so we may see the Utah loved ones as well:) Love to all and hope life is going well,
Mom O.
