I am going to take a shot at blogging…Who knows if I'll do it right:-)

We have been super busy this whole school year.  So I will just kind of tell you about what we have ben doing…

Taylor had to be at school early every Wednesday for Student Council Meetings.  She decided to not run for student council president again, and Mom is glad I don't have to try to get her and the boys to school each week.  She was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society and will have to do a LOT of volunteering this summer and next year.  She finished the school year with all A's and we are proud of all her hard work. She also got braces put on just before school finished and has done pretty well with them so far. Keep your fingers crossed that continues.

DJ finally went back to school full time in the middle of January.  After missing 2 1/2 months of school for an unknown virus he was happy to be back and his friends were happy for him to be back also.  We had his birthday party 2 months late because of his sickness, but it was worth the wait.  4 friends, DJ and Mom went Paintballing and boy did those boys have fun.  Jeanie went out on the field with them once, just once.  I had not planned on going so I was in capris and a turquoise coat, Everyone knew exactly where I was and my poor body was bruised the next day.  DJ went on his first Boyscout overnight campout and he thought it was super cool.  DJ also graduated from 5th grade this year and is looking forward to the middle school and pestering big sister next year:-)  He also finished the school year with all A's.

Colin LOVED kindergarten and his teacher Mrs Jensen.  We were so blessed to get her for a teacher.  Colin can be a hand full and she knew how to work with him and he did so super.  It's so amazing to see him doing math on everything he sees. He loves to count how many things are around and he loves every electronic he can get his hands on.  We are having to watch him there, or he would be on them all day!  I loved being the Kindergarten Head Mom, I got to know so many kids and there parents.

Tanner did a 4 day a week preschool program that he LOVES.  His school finished before the other kids and he was so mad that he didn't get to go to school when everyone else was.  He is a slow talker but that is the only thing he is slow at!  Oh, he is also a "big boy now" he loves telling everyone that.  He has been potty trained since March but suddenly he has a new saying and its pretty cute to here him say it.

I just got called into the Primary Presidency and I'm the new 2nd Counselor.  Ugh, I am not a fan of Sharing Time, but I will get used to it sooner or later…I have also spent a lot of my free time at the elementary school this year as the PTA Treasurer.  I have loved it, but now I am having to get the books audited and get the taxes ready and I am not a big fan of the time I have to put into it.  August will be my second term and my last, you can only do one position for 2 years, thank goodness for term limits:-)

Jim is as busy as ever at work.  Leaves the house by 6 every morning and most nights we are lucky to see him before 7.  He is the Cub Scout Committee chairperson and the High Priest Group Secretary.  So they are keeping him busy at church.

Taylor and I went to the Temple on the 5th of June and really enjoyed the time together and the experience of her being confirmed and Baptized for the Dead.  Then the next night Jim and I went to the Temple with our close friends, Date night, and Jim and I each did an initiatory and Endowments
for Grandpa(Charles R Oliphant) and Rachel Pinkney Alexander (I believe a grandmother of Mom O).
Then Jim and I sealed Grandpa and Grandma Oliphant together and then My Great Grandparents on both sides of my Mom's family.  It was an incredible experience all around and we are looking forward to our next trip to the Temple!

Our close Friend Chase and Leigh and their 2 daughters are flying in on Saturday to spend 5 days here with us and we are all looking forward to there visit.  There daughters have never been to San Antonio, so we will be going down to the Alamo and the Riverwalk for the day and lots of time by our pool!

We are all super excited to be flying back to Oregon to see both sides of the Family.  We will be staying at My Parents house, Jim is only staying a week but the kids and I are staying on another 9 days.  We can't wait to see all the family and think the Jet boat trip is going to be so cool.

Until July 3rd, be happy and safe!
Love
Jeanie and Family!
