On to Oregon:)!

Tuesday...June 17th.  Leaving Ontario (Wal Mart parking lot) headed for Roseburg.  Feels like we’ve been gone forever.  Interesting observation...driving around Georgia (we did a little, but not a LOT) I don’t remember seeing even 1 motor home during the time we were there.  Driving from the SLC airport to Payson and then heading out yesterday we saw them everywhere!  Does that mean that people in the west are the only ones driving motor homes?

Speaking of Georgia, I guess I didn’t do a very good job of communicating our schedule to people as our beloved children made their Fathers Day calls during the time we were flying from Atlanta to SLC - but he appreciated your efforts anyway:)!  And we greatly appreciated our bed in the motor home as we climbed in at the end of that long day:)!  Grateful to Mary and Michael for picking us up...grateful to all of you for the love and joy you bring into our lives:)!!!

Dad and Stephen were able to get Steve’s Audi A6 up and running while we were there, as well as help a little with a couple of other things; as for me, I just enjoyed being able to watch and hold Anslee, such a sweet fresh spirit from Heavenly Father.  Her willing smile and fun expressions keep everyone entertained:).  Holly is doing well - amazingly well considering she ended up having a C-section - and has taken to being a mommy like a duck takes to water:).  We enjoyed being the first to take up residence in their guest room; the bed is very comfortable, so you are all invited to go give it a try:)!  They would love to be able to share their beautiful home with Steve’s side of the family:).

Need to say THANK YOU to Jeanie for posting on the blog:)!  Hope you have all seen it - if not, look below this one!  Would be so great if everyone would post a little each week or two...just to let us all know how you're doing:).

I don’t have much to blog about other than to say we are looking forward to seeing most of you for the Fourth of July which now sounds like it will be even a more fun adventure than originally planned.  Not sure who I have or haven’t told, but we are planning to do a picnic dinner outside using our patio at the house - originally I had just planned hot dogs and hamburgers provided by us and then have everyone pick up something at the store to add to the meal...it needs to be simple but I also want to have it be good and now wonder if hot dogs and hamburgers are maybe not so good after the barbecue on the river for lunch.  Please forward your thoughts and ideas:).  Thinking about 5 or 6 and then everyone can do whatever the mood suggests for fireworks:).

So grateful to live in this beautiful and free country, despite all of our faults, especially as we hear of the horrendous conflicts going on in the world and think of the immense suffering of the peoples in those places. I wish there were a way to really help but have to content myself with prayers for now.

For anyone who hasn’t seen Holly’s Facebook postings, here are some of the pictures I have from her:
Anslee was very cooperative during the beautiful blessing given to her by her father...on Fathers Day!

                                                    After church, a family picture:)

                                                   And, one with these grandparents...
