Hello to all once again; it was encouraging to see that Charlotte and Holly had posted blogs on this site, but I am wondering how many in the family are bothering to check it out. I had decided to decide this weekend whether I should go back to my "snail mail" efforts to stay in touch or continue with the blogging... your responses will determine that I guess.
Just an update... we caught another racoon; we still have aother one to catch. How do I know? When I went to the barn night before last he disappeared around the corner of the hay bin. Dad has set the trap but so far he has avoided it. Or - maybe the latch is not working:) The food does seem to be gone each night.
Charlotte came Wednesday night by train; we picked her up in Eugene. We have enjoyed having her here... at least I have. Dad has not been available much. She returns tomorrow morning; Seth will be glad:) She has helped me to clean out the old desk from her room (now our office) and I helped her to get her cross stitch stretched and framed. It is truly beautiful; a true heirloom. She is very excited and happy to have it done:) We went over and visited Judy Jacobson and showed it to her; she was very happy with the visit and thrilled to see the cross stitch. It is always so nice to be so very much appreciated when you do such a small thing:)!
Tonight I have an adult "recital" to attend because one of my students - Susan Weston to be exact - is playing in it. I debated about inviting my students to sign up for it, but finally decided to let them know about it. I didn't know about Charlotte coming then; now we would really like to go see Star Trek, but there is no way to do it with the recital in there. Oh well.
It is quite warm - like 90° I think - and I am tired, so I will go lie down for a bit before doing dinner and the recital. Thank you Emily - if you read this - for the phone call; love you!
Love to all, Mom O.
i think i remember a few people suggesting that we send occasional emails to let everyone know that new posts are written.. so they remember to check in. an idea i guess.
