Another Week Goes By...

Well... hello again...if anyone is out there:) (Judging from the comments and the blog activity-or lack of it- on Holly and Charlotte's sites, I'm beginning to wonder...) Anyway... news of the day is Michael broke his thumb quite badly at a dodge-ball game last night and had surgery on it today; I think it is now held together by 2 pins. Mom says they stick out of his hand (oooooh) - and that in 5 to 6 weeks the doctor will pull them out. Or maybe give Michael the pliers and let him do it. Meanwhile, it doesn't feel so good and he is on pain medication that he says makes him sleepy. That is probably good.

I have decided to try getting my usual Saturday routines done on Fridays as much as possible (yesterday was my first attempt, altho last week kind of counts since I sort of did the same thing, but for a different reason...) - with the goal of being free to spend time with my husband on Saturdays. Helping (?) him with the outside work, sitting by him watching TV, going with him to the dump... just whatever. Can't say I totally succeeded, but I did give it a good first effort:) And we did spend more time together than usual:) Because yesterday was visiting teaching day for me - and it was divided up into very weird times - I didn't get the grocery shopping done, so we did that together. Also got a few more plants for the garden and flower beds. Who knows... maybe we will get things looking kind of good after all for the summer. Which, of course, makes me wish all of you were here with us to see it. And... it would be really nice to have some really young, strong arms and legs to help with the trees that are down all over the place. It is beginning to look like we had a tornado come through or something. One more fell over today in the pen area up behind the garden bed - and it is pushing the fence down quite a bit. Sigh... it all just takes time - and muscle. I am not much good for that; poor Dad:)

Guess that is all I will say at the moment - except... Where are you??? Oh yes... I found out that Michael is visiting Mary this weekend...that is where she is. Not at school, where she should be! OK siblings, can't you keep a better eye on her?

I visited on the phone today with Rachel, then Michael, then Christine, then Sara. Abby was sleepy and didn't want to talk to me:( Maybe next time!

Love to all and Happy Memorial Day. Mom O.
