Here's my update for the week... The whole 'Raw Diet' thing didn't work out so well last week. The dehydrator we ordered hadn't shown up yet, we didn't have any food in our house, etc. So we put it off, enjoyed all sorts of unhealthy meals, and decided to start a week later (THIS week).
We are now on Day 2 of the 100% Raw Diet. It isn't too bad yet. I've managed to get by without having to eat salad yet so I'm happy.
Adam just started his San Marcos City League Basketball. He's on a team with 6 of his friends. They had super fancy jersey's made with their own logo and the team name: And 2. They won their first game but just lost their second by 1 point. Losing was rough... they were still the best DRESSED team but that didn't seem to console them.
Adam also just got called to be the Executive Secretary. So much for Sunday being are only day off! We have a new bishop so we're waiting to see what he expects from Adam.
We're planning a big 30th birthday party for a friend of ours this weekend. It's going to be rock n' roll themed with a huge Rock Band tournament, costume contest, etc. I'm SUPER excited to plan it and to come up with amazing rock n' roll costumes for Adam and myself. I'll try to get fancy and post pictures the next time I blog. The party will be the official end of 'raw food week' (one more reason to be SO excited for it).
Wow... how about telling us just what you ARE eating on your raw foods diet with no salads... then we could ALL get educated:)! And... I think you are just a party girl at heart:)!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Adam; it is good to see the Lord using his talents:). As for Sunday being your only day off... go back and read President Eyring's talk from the November conference titled, O Ye That Embark. And smile. Dad is giving a talk on that one this coming Sunday; I'm not sure which ward...but we studied it last night for our FHE.
Thanks so much for the weekly update:)! Love you, Mom
I'm kind of curious about what it is that you're eating these days if you're avoiding salad. It just seems like it would be kind of the staple for something like that, lol.
