Well, June is underway which brings us closer to all being together for a few days at the (new name) Rivers Edge at Deer Park campground. I have made the deposit on the cabins; it is probably time to be saving your $$ to help pay for those:) We can cancel a cabin or two up to 5 days ahead, but I am hoping to know "for sure" by the 1st of July who can and cannot come to help in planning cost, cabins to keep or let go, food, etc. I guess I also need to know who will NOT be staying Sunday night, because we ARE staying that night and probably cannot afford to pay for the large cabin just for ourselves if everyone else is leaving. I thought scheduling Friday, Saturday & Sunday would be the best for everyone, but maybe need to do something different for the future? We have our list of people for meals, but obviously if you cannot come, that will have to change a little - altho I am using myself as the backup for those - depending on the number of cancellations:)
I was planning to make the train reservations (the Saturday full day activity) in June; on the one hand I am afraid to NOT buy the tickets ahead because they might not be able to accomodate us if we all show up unannounced; on the other hand I am afraid to BUY the tickets ahead because these are NOT refundable...and not exactly cheap:) So my plan is to hopefully hear from those who are unsure of being able to come within the next week or two, just to have an idea, then maybe buy tickets for those who are definitely planning on coming in June and wait on the others until you know. How does that sound?
We are looking forward to being together so very much, and to having our grandchildren get to spend some time together too... wish it could be for a full week!
