The raw food diet was a success! We committed to a 5 day diet (Monday through Friday) and managed to pull it off without cheating. I celebrated with Taco Bell at 12:00am on Saturday morning. To answer Christi's question... we did it to be healthy! My normal diet consists primarily of sugar, cheese, bread, and more sugar. We're going to try to keep eating raw as much as possible from this point on (although I have a jawbreaker in my mouth right now). Adam is remarkable good at eating ridiculously healthy food ALL THE TIME.We had our Rock N' Roll party this past Saturday. It was so fun!!! Everyone should host one. We got all dressed up, drank root beer out of glass bottles, played Guitar Hero on teams of 4, and voted for the King and Queen of Rock and Roll. I included some pictures in this post.
Adam's birthday is tomorrow so we're getting ready for another party this weekend. Nothing too crazy this time around... just a BBQ and Volleyball in the park by our house.
I'm so proud of my WY nieces and nephews! Way to represent with the presentations! I'm sure you'll do great at State as well.
Emily

And we are leaving the care of our children to you if we die! Actually we all think your pics are good. Party on. Also, I hate to break it to you - but it takes more than a week to be healthy by changing your diet but a great start. Keep it up and when you give up we have plenty of steaks, sugar and other goodies here so come visit. Love you. Christine
ReplyDeleteAdam totally looks the part of a rocker.. Emily, your cute smile makes it slightly less believable. ;) Looks like it was a lot of fun!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a friend back home in GA who lives the raw food diet like everyday... for a few years now. Takes a lot of discipline to do it! Good job trying it out! :)
Glad to hear things are going well!
